Rajinikanth admit again on May 4 and now we hear that on May 13, the 61-year old actor was rushed for the third time to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, in Porur.
For a man humourously renowned for his invincibility, his illness has caused widespread speculations about the actual cause of his ailment with some saying it is pneumonia and others a renal disorder.
Doctors at Sri Ramachandra hospital said that he has recurrent symptoms of respiratory infection, temperature and fatigue.
Special teams of doctors are attending to the actor to investigate the main problem and provide him the necessary treatment. In addition, doctors have advised that Rajini restrict visitors completely to avoid recurring infections.
When contacted, Rajinikanth's family members, including his son-in-law Dhanush, refrained from revealing too much information about the actor's health and simply said he is "fine".
Reports said that, when the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and former Andhra chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited Rajinikanth at the hospital, the actor was his cheery self.
