Deepika, Abhishek Promote Upcoming Movie

Kolkata had a date with the Indian stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and director Ashutosh Gowariker as they visited the city to promote their upcoming film 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey'.

The movie is a period movie based on the struggle of revolutionary Masterda Surjya Sen and 1930 Chittagong uprising against the British rule in India.

Abhishek Bachchan is playing the role of Surjya Sen in the film.

"I do film on the theme and story that come to me, while doing this movie my love towards history has increased, Malini Chatterjee's book has all the details. I decided to concentrate completely on Malini Chatterjee's book for Surjya Sen's reference," director Ashutosh Gowariker said about the film.

"I hardly knew much about Masterda, sadly, as Ashutosh told about the film, its story, I felt then would like doing it. I thought if I am not aware about, many people are not aware about him, this film gave me an opportunity to showcase him," Abhishek said.

Deepika who will be seen portraying the character of 'Kalpana Datta' in the film said: "I believe that saree is a sensual outfit that a women can wear, I feel that Kalpana's character was glamorous and gorgeous, for me the process as an actor is same, it has been a huge responsibility for me to portray such a character," when asked about her saree clad avatar, completely opposite to the roles she has been showcasing so far in her career.

Salman Khan's too old for Suraj

Aaliya is a crazy girl who seems to be hell bent on messing up a good thing, for no reason at all. She has the best boyfriend -- the ever-understanding, sensitive and so very dependable Gulati. Yet, you can understand why she wants to fly off into unknown territory, chasing unnecessary dreams, yearning for useless adventure and talking on an on about spurious spaces. As for Gulati, he's typical too with his laid back acceptance of what life has to offer, even if it means slogging as a glorified clerk in his dad's office while all he wants to do is cook and serve. There's something so endearing about his desire to be the `manjha' (string) to Aaliya's soaring kite stance. And the fact that Imran pitches his performance at a very very downplayed level makes Gulati's non-demanding, dependable guy act even more effective. As for Deepika, well her Aaliya is relatively effortless too, despite the fact that it's a mercurial, illogical, irrational ekdum flighty character. Her climactic act seems to be the best performance in her entire career: completely spontaneous, crazy and nice.

The movie does have a terribly sluggish middle and there are places where the drama seems to be heading nowhere, but the witty banter between the protagonists does fill in the lacunae to some measure. The dialogues are smart and the conversation funny, specially when Deepika insists on calling herself Shah Rukh khan and oscillates between Gulati, Julati and Gelatto when it comes to referring to her boyfriend. And if that's not enough, he even becomes Sunita in certain sequences. Lillette Dubey as the adventurous aunt also adds to the sparkle with her homespun asides on love and marriage.

Break Ke Baad movie is the other flavour of romance.

Bollywood new movie Action Replay is a light, soft, romantic comedy with a pinch of fiction added to it. The story is about young Bunty (Aditya Kapoor) who believes that marriage is evil and the end of life. His parents, Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai, are forever fighting and arguing as old couple, and these fights keep him away from getting married to his girlfriend Tanya. But Tanya’s grandfather, Professor Anthony Gonsalves, has given him an ultimatum to get married or stop seeing her. Now Bunty feels that unless he does something fast, his dreams of living happily ever after with Tanya will never be possible. Bunty plans a surprise party for his parent’s 35th wedding anniversary but it deteriorates into yet another explosive quarrel between Kishen and Mala, and then Bunty decides to turn back the clock and rewrite his parents destiny and alter their disastrous marriage into a romantic affair.

Vidya Deteriorated due to Workload

Indian actress Vidya Balan who was at the shooting venue of a movie directed by Sujoy Ghosh, reportedly, fatigued due to the pressure of hectic schedules.

Medical reports syas, that the physical condition of Vidya deteriorated due to the overtime workload. Vidya Balan is believed to be busy with rigorous shooting schedules since about three months.

She, according to the grapevine, was busy with shooting as well as dubbing concurrently devoid of a break for at least a single day.

She said, "It is true that I fatigued on the sets of a film directed by Sujoy Ghosh in city of Kolkata. Excessive stress is the root cause of my condition which send a shiver down the spine of the entire unit of the movie."

Deepika eager for re act with Saif

Deepika lifts Imran Khan

In most Indian Movies, we’ve seen the hero lift his heroine in some or the other scene. But a heroine carrying her hero on her back… now that’s a bit difficult to imagine. Well, Deepika Padukone has done exactly that vis-à-vis Imran Khan in her forthcoming film, Break Ke Baad. Although it wasn’t easy, she managed it after some training and rehearsals.

The scene in question features as one of the montages during the song Adhoore hain…. Director Danish Aslam’s idea was to also show the kind of lead Deepika’s Aaliyah Khan plays the lead in the relationship with Abhay Gulati (Imran Khan). “Considering Aaliyah leads this relationship, there are many instances of role reversals to depict that,” reveals a source, adding that the montages in the track, which come at the time in the movie when she wants some time off alone.

He continues, “Danish felt that showing Aaliyah carrying Abhay was the perfect way to convey the drastic changes their relationship was undergoing. That’s why this particular scene is of great significance.”

Break ke BaadTurns out that was easier said than done, as Imran weighs 75 kgs as against Deepika’s negligible 55 kg weight. But she underwent considerable training for about a fortnight prior to the shooting of the scene. Apart from that, we’re told that for about three-four hours, Deepika also rehearsed carrying Imran on her back but not without adequate precaution.

“To ensure that she didn’t suffer any back trouble while performing the scene, she wore a thick, wide belt as a preventive measure,” says our source, glad that it went off smoothly, without the heroine suffering any injuries or pain.

Deepika recalls the sequence as really “fun to shoot.” She says, “Everyone on the sets was worried. But being an athlete, I was confident that I’d be able to carry Imran on my back without any problem.”

On the contrary, director Aslam calls it a complicated scene. “It’s not easy to carry 75 kgs on your back. We didn’t want Deepika to get hurt, so we exercised caution. It took us two days to complete shooting this sequence, but the end result is brilliant,” he says.

Priyanka, who is 28 years old, is a business management graduate from UK. Her mother, Nandini is a well known classical dancer while her father passed away in 2001. The track focuses on the overall drama where Damini Devi being a drama artist makes a blunder with her answers. We contacted Apara Mehta who confirmed the news, "Yes, we have scripted such a great track where I will be seen on the hot seat answering to Sumeet who will be the Big B on the show."

When asked Pooja about the special incident with Big B, she acknowledges and says, "Yes, I relish that moment a lot. When I told my friends and family that I was to shoot with Amitabh Bachchan, they were so excited. So when I was in the Hot Seat with him, I asked him a question as to how it feels to be Mr. Bachchan, the man with a great fan following who is so famous. As an answer to this, he came up to me, bent on his knee and told me 'Deviji, main toh sadaran insaan hoon'. COLORS' Bigg Boss 4 will go thro' another nomination phase in tonight's episode!! But it's going to be tough for the viewers this week, as seven housemates have been put in the danger zone!! Yes, you have heard it right!! As per the rules of the Bigg Boss, the inmates need to follow certain instructions and can be punished royally if they do not abide to them. In the case of the seven nominated contestants, we hear that they were seen plotting and scheming against one another and if this is not enough, they were spotted discussing nominations.

Our source informs us, "The seven housemates who were found guilty and booked for nominations are Manoj Tiwari, Hrishant Goswami, Rahul Bhatt, Veena Malik, Shweta Tiwari, Seema Parihar and Aanchal Kumar".

Other than the nominations, viewers will witness yet another cat fight happening, this time between Dolly Bindra and Manoj Tiwari.

According to our source, "When Salman Khan had entered the house last night, the inmates got the luxury of enjoying a great meal. The inmates decide on having the left over food when Manoj Tiwari refuses to have it as he does not want to eat non-vegetarian food. He tells all that he would make something out of eggs for himself. This makes Dolly wild, and she argues with him and asks him not to make anything new and eat the left over food like others. This makes Manoj angry and he yells at her saying the kitchen is not owned by her father, and that she has no right to talk anything. This leads to a big fight between Manoj and Dolly".

Meanwhile, Sara who has enjoyed the luxury of being in the secret room for few days will get back into the house tonight. Her comeback will bring about a mixed reaction in the house. While the new love birds Ashmit and Veena are happy, Hrishant does not like Sara's comeback.
